What is the RhD blood group and why does it matter?
There are two main blood groups that determine your blood type, the ABO (A, B, O, AB) blood group and the Rh (previously known as Rhesus) blood group (positive or negative).
The baby’s blood group is determined by both the mother and the father, and for this reason may be different to the mothers.
